In the Qt source files I am working with there are three tags. The source tag, the translation tag and the comment tag. Both source text and translations are viewed perfectly in Sisulizer by adding source and import translations. However, I have not managed to find out how to import and display the content of the comment tag in Sisulizer. This would be a very important feature, as the programmers include in this tag important comments to the textstrings. Information that is important for the translators to see, as well as for the coordinators as my self.

Is there something I have missed out of possibilities in Sisulizer, why I cannot find out how to import and display content/data from the comment tag in Qt source files?

If not a feature, is it possible to add a feature to view content/data from the comment tag of Qt source files?

Hi Eva,

Sisulizer use own comments system in projects (node comments, row comments etc.), but current version of Sisulizer can't recognize tag comments included to QT source. Because your topic is concerned to new feature for QT translations, I will ask Markus for moving this topic to Wishes section, and of course I will ask our R&D about possibility of adding this feature to next versions of Sisulizer.

Best regards,
Janusz

Ok. Thank you for your quick reply!

I hope for high priority on the wish list for this case. Meanwhile I will manually add from comment tag into Sisulizer comment field.

Yes.

I need the information of the .ts comment tag to be available/display from Sisulizer. I expected it to be imported when adding .ts source to a Sisulizer project. But that is not the case.

I implemented it. Next build imports also comment data.

Thank you pointing it out.

Thanks for mentioning that.

It is a good sample showing that Sisulizer always gets new features also between the major updates on user request without extra costs.

We really try to take all the wishes of our customers serious (while we have to admit that we can not follow everything because of capacity limitations).

Your QT comment issue started a fruitfull internal discussion and probably also users of INI file localization will profit from a new feature regarding comments.

Again: Thanks for working with us to make Sisulizer the best software localization experience available.

And: If you like what you see at Sisulizer, please don't hesitate to speak about it with others :-)

Markus
