I have HTML files in English & Japanese, and I was testing this in a project.

I clicked by mistake on the "Japanese" column, and got a crash.

To reproduce :
1. Create a new project, select the attached HTML, add the Japanese language (it sounds weird to translate from Japanese into Japanese - but do it anyway)
2. Select the whole source column, and CTRL+ALT+C
3. You can test clicking on the Source language column (Japanese) : everything's fine
4. Click on the Target language column (Japanese as well) : Crash

Hi,

I did follow the dscription but it did not crash here.

Can you please try to reproduce but use <right click> -> Translation -> Copy Original to Translation instead of CTRL+ALT+C. My problem here was that CTRL+ALT+C did not work on my machine and I had to use the context menu instead. Perhaps there is some difference.

If you have it once reproducable please send your .slp to support (at) sisulizer.fi.

Markus

Definitely crashing every time..
I tried it on two different machines.
On a third machine, which is running under Windows 2000, I have a crash loading the project (I installed the free version on both other test machines).

I attached the project to this thread.

I'm sorry, for Windows 2000, my problem was due to a network problem on my test machine.

I finally got the project to open, and it did not crash. That machine has Japanese installed in the Regional settings, and the 2 other machines tested do not.
I think this explains why you did not reproduce the crash (and it obviously makes it not a serious bug).

Hi Olivier,

so the sorting crash happens only when the support for Far East languages is not installed?

Hi Olivier,

I could reproduce. The Far East language support makes the difference. I forwarded to R&D for a fix.

Thanks for reproducing that!!!

Markus

Hi,

I am a fresh Sisulizer user. I coordinate translation into 15 languages, amongst these Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

I discovered today that Sisulizer crashes when I click the column headers of Chinese Simplified and Traditional languages to sort the content. Actually, it was just by chance that I clicked the column header at first. I lost lots of unsaved editions as I was thrown out of Sisulizer when it shut down. After applying editions once again, this time saving manually for every change, I tryed out this crash incident.

It happens only when clicking the Chinese language column headers, none of the other languages are affected. They sort as expected. None of the other languages I work with are of East Asian kind. They are only West-European and East-European languages.

I haven't installed support for East Asian languages, although the Chinese characters display correctly on my machine.

OS is WinXP Prof SP2.

Hi Eva,

if you install Far-East support to your windows the problem will go away.
It is a known problem of the latest Sisulizer builds and we are working to sort that out with the next build.
