Hello,

We created a project, scanned our .exe file and imported some translations from a database.
Everything worked great so far.

Those translations from the DB were not completed yet, so our translator is currently working to get the rest translated. Meanwhile we added more resourcestrings to our exe.

To make those new resourcestrings availible to the translator we scanned for changes in the existing project and somehow many of the old resourcestring translations seem to be in the wrong line. they moved down 3-4 steps in the coloum.
so ofc, those translations are wrong now.

is there any way to scan for changes but keep the existing translations where they were? (-:

kind regards

Hi,

If something happens with a Delphi project then it is always a .drc related issue.

Did you enter a valid .drc file in your project settings (Project - Edit Source - Project)?

Is this .drc created in the same compiler run as the .exe?

Delphi changes the IDs of the strings. If you remove resources and add new ones Delphi will renumber the IDs. The only way to make the correct match is to have the .drc file created in the compilation run with its .exe.

Hope this helps

Markus

P.S. Why does you translator translate the database and does not simply localize the .slp with our Free Edition?

Hello Markus,

Thanx for your help. It was a problem with the .drc file.

I think you got me wrong with our translator. He is translating the .slp but we already had some translations stored into a DB, so he imported them.

Right now we got a little problem when we change the language. Our mainframe is maximised, when we change the language it stays maximized but it is way smaller.
Do you have any idea why that can happen?

Hmmm,

looks odd. The window still has the maximized state but does not fill the desktop...

I've asked our R&D if they have an idea.

Markus

Hello,

It could be result of localization controls sizes (height, width) and position (x,y). Sisulizer can localize controls positions and sizes e.g. via translation sheet (you need to have checked Integer number in Data types of Sheet filter) or visual editor by moving or resizing controls with mouse. It seems to me that your issue could be fixed if you will exclude integer numbers for your sources.
You can exclude Integer numbers in following way:
Project menu > Edit source > Excluded Types (look on attached screenshot).

Best regards,
Janusz
