We have been evaluating Sisulizer lately. Currently we are using Multilizer tool and are evaluating other possibilities. In our project we are also using Infragistics's NetAdvantage components. We are having problems with couple of NetAdvantage components with Sisulizer. Problem causing components are, for instance, UltraWinGrid and UltraTabControl.

After translating our project everything seems to be ok. However, when someone adds a new tab in the middle of existing tabs or changes the order of tabs, all translations in the tab component after the new tab will be mixed up (shifted). It's the same problem with UltraWinGrid component. If someone adds a new column in the middle of the existing columns, all column header translations will be mixed up. NetAdvantage's visual editor seems to generate all tabs' object names from scratch everytime they are changed (Caption, Caption1, Caption2, Caption3 etc.). This probably causes the problem.

We've got quite a big project and this problem causes too much manual work that Sisulizer/NetAdvantage combination would really useful. Have you heard about this problem problem before, and do you have any suggestions? Would more recent version of NetAdvantage give any help?

We have been evaluating the latest evaluation version of Sisulizer and NetAvantage library that we are using is version 6.1.20061.28.

Hi George,

unfortunately NetAvantage does not supporting us in the way we would like it to be:
http://www.sisulizer.com/localization/software/third-party-control-support.shtml

Do you by any chance have two versions of your software that show the shifting effect you could send to us.
Your info that the names of tabs are changed with every change are an important hint. If that is that way, then the context will change every time. If there is not another property that never changes then it makes the control extremly hard to localize for any tool.

If you have to version of your software showing the shift please send it together with your .slp to support (at) sisulizer.fi.

Best

Markus

Hi and thanks for the answer :-) Unfortunately it's not possible to send our complete software for you to investigate. We can, however, create a simple example project that visualizes the problem. We'll send it to you when we have some extra time to create it.

That would be great. Sample project with included your issue will be good solution for us. Thank you for your involvement in finding solution for this issue. We wait for your files.

Best,
Janusz

Hello again,

I investigated this problem more carefully and found out that it's a bug in Infragistics NetAdvantage library. It exists at least in the version 6.1.20061.28 CLR2.0. Public hotifxes to the version didn't bring any solutions to the problem. However, more recent version, 8.2.20082.2011 CLR2.0, seems to work ok. It's still not possible to define names for the columns by ourselves (as with standard WinForm tab component), but editor now generates them properly, and doesn't mess up translations. Thanks for your support!
