As i'm stupid I began converting my files one by one, then I realized there is a multiple file converter. so I wonder if something bad will happen to my already converted files if ai convert them again from windows-1252 to utf even if they are already unciode. sorry for this question. Lele

Hi Lele, Kaboom checks if the files has a byte-order-mark, or if it is HTML it reads the code page tag. In both cases you can safely use it again. Kaboom shows you this information after the Drag&Drop. If you you drop your already converted files there, and it does state them as UTF, converting them again to UTF will bring undesired results = double conversion. Better use the backup option. Hope this helps Renate
