Our application has some menus in the format xxx.POPUP.xxxx.TEXT and other menus in the format xxxx.65535.xxxx.TEXT.

The menus with POPUP display correctly in the translated resource DLL I create.  The menus with 65535 do not.

Have you seen this before?  If so, can it be fixed with Sisulizer or do I need to change my application?

Thanks!

Could you send that DLL-file (and the possible RC-file) to me, please. I will take a look of them.

Ilkka,

I was able to remove the 65535 from the resource file and the main menus are now working correctly. Still having problems with a context menu that is actually two submenus. If I can't get this to work I will put together a small application that has the issue and send it to you.

Ken

PK. That would be nice because I like to know what was the problem.

We isolated the problem to the use of MENUEX for creating context menus in Visual Studio. The menu looks fine in Sisulizer, but the application (VS2005 C++) does not see the translated menu in the resource dll created by Sisulizer. We were able to change the menu back to type MENU in the resource file. When we did that, the translated menu was displayed correctly.

A menu on the main application menubar does display correctly when it is of type MENUEX, so the problem appears to be isolated to context menus.
