I have a very simple text file that looks like this Accounts Activity etc I need to add this to Sisulizer and translate it. When I add the file I get the project wizard for the text file as attached. When I click Next SL gives me the "You have to add at least one text item" message. How can I simply import this file into SL? Attachment: SL - text files.JPG (Downloaded 23 times)

Hi Frede, the minimum requirement for localization of text files is to have one entry for the context and one for the content. You only have a context entry. The content item is missing. While you only have one element in the line it can not work because either the one or the other is missing. To localize it, your file should look like this sample: 1=Accounts 2=Activity Then the right settings would be like shown in the screenshot. Markus, In my case this textfile will change dramatically for every new version ao the contexts will be totallt out of sync between versions. Therefore the translations will not match. In version 1 the context for a string will be different from the context of that string in version 2. What is the easiest way to handle this? Is it to export the translations to a file and import them again when the source file has been modified?

Hi Frede, you mean, that you have something like that in version 1: English: 1=hat 2=mouse Translated into German: 1=Hut 2=Maus In version 2 you have English: 99=mouse 100=hat and you want to get in German: 99=Maus 100=Hut ??? Then the only way is to re-use the translations by value and not by context. I would recommend using translation memory for that. Importing from a single language files does not work because for translations by value you need language pairs. Best Markus

You understand my problem correctly. I have language pairs in import file so that is fine.
