Hi, another question: is there a leverage or pretranslate function in SISULIZER?

Hello, we don't do a translation leverage but something much less complicated :-) For a translation leverage you need two projects. Localization project "a" was made for a software version 1.00 while project "b" was made for version 1.01. While these are two seperate projects the translations need to be leveraged from project a to project b not to loose a translation. In addition a diff must be made to find what is new and what was changed. If you make new software builds often this approach is very time consuming and complicated. Everything complicated process leads to many errors and problems. In Sisulizer you need only one project. If you make a new build of your software, say 1.01, you simply use "Scan For Changes" -> http://www.sisulizer.com/swf/sisulizer-scanforchanges.shtml Sisulizer finds all new and changed strings and marks them. With the strong filters you can find these strings easily. All existing translations are automatically re-used from one build to the next. We don't use the term translation leverage, because the original process needs two project files. Sisulizer needs only one. It is simpler and faster and we do not need a fancy buzz word for it. We simply call it after what it is doing: Scan For Changes. A pre-translation can be done with our translation memory engines, e.g. with the optional WorldLingo service. Best Markus

Good morning again, I am wondering if there is a runtime validation function in sisulizer? Or is the "run translated source" function used for that?

Good morning, Sisulizer's runtime functions are used to change the UI language on run time. This means that you can start application in one language and later change the language to another. We do not have any runtime validation functions. All validations are performed on Sisulizer during the translation process. Jaakko

Is there a possiblility to detect strings that should not be translated, like e.g. internal software commands? Because in the wordpad sample i have localized for my thesis are the menu strings: TEXT_POPUP (containing a few regular strings like Cut, Copy, Paste,... but also the string <<OLE VERBS GO HERE>> which also shows up in a few other menus) MISC (containing the strings: Bold, Italic, Color,Underline, Left, Right, Center, Print Direct, Period, Space, Backspace, New Line, Pen, Lens) and COLOR_POPUP (containig different colors). Those strings in capital letters represent internal commands, don't they. How should they be delt with? Should they just be marked "Read only"? Sorry for bothering you that often!

Hi Ann-Christin, I'm just a poor sales guy and I don't have an answer to that techical issue but... Perhaps you should start a new thread for that where the responsible developers in our team can find it. It is now placed at the end of some thread dealing with something else. Best Markus
