Hi,

can you give me an example how to change the Language during Runtime in a .Net Compact Framework application please. The .Net examples do not compile with the compact framework because of it's limitations.

Thanks

Olaf Kehm

Unfortunately the runtime language change does not work on Compact Framework. It does not contain UI Culture or not even Culture in Thread class.

Thread
.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture

Sorry. This might not be enough. If compact framework select the initial language like the normal framework it will select the language matching the language of the user interface of OS itself. Changing OS locale won't change the language of the OS and your application still starts at the same language as the OS itself.

This is a annoying feature of .NET framework. The initial language should be the OS locale not the OS language.
