Hi, evaluating Sisulizer vs our current tool (Multilizer, ML). 1. Unicode support is of prime importance to us. Do you feel that in this respect we would be better off with SL instead of ML and if so, why? 2. I would like to test runtime language change with SL and I think I have seen somewhere that SL provides some tools to facilitate this, but I haven't found this in the evaluation version. How can I test this with my evaluation copy? And is it possible anyhow with Delphi2007?? 3. Just a minor point of criticism. Just now I am testing a translation from TM with SL. Anytime a dialog pops up asking me to confirm one translation or another, the corresponding form is shown (which is nice), but it hides itself for the greater part under the translation grid so that I still can't see the context.. TIA Gerard

Hi 1) I believe that both tools can handle basic Unicode internally. Most localiation tool can do that. Howerver Multilizer can not handle Unicode character that do not belong to BMP (Basic Multilingual Plane). Sisulizer can. This means that we can support all 64K basic Unicode points plus all 100K other Unicode points that are on other Unicode planes. Both tools can handle localization of Delphi 2007 strings (that are Ansi). The difference is in 2009. If your original language is English and you localize to language that requires non latin characters (e.g. Japanese) Multilizer writes strings in Ansi that totally destroys the idea of Unicode enabled Delphi 2009. 2) Sisulizer's VCL directory contains two samples where runtime language switch is used: DelphiWinLangChange and DelphiWinConverter <sldir>VCL contains full source code of the units that are used with language switch. 3) I will make this optional such way that you can disable form showing. In additon of your good questions I would point out our support that gives you a reply fastly and if our product needs a fix or change we will do it quickly. Best regards, Jaakko

More about 1#. Sisulizer is used a lot in Japanese companies and it is used to localize Japanese project. This means that original data is in Unicode or in Japanese encoding. This has made our product very good with Unicode (all encodings). I itself live in Japan, speak Japanese and have made great deal of efforts to make Sisulizer's Unicode support as good as possible. Hi Gerard, if you make the switch from ML to Sisulizer please don't forget to contact sales (at) sisulizer.com. The x-grade code you will receive makes your switch much sweater. If you choose Sisulizer Enterprise please don't forget to choose our new bundle: 1 Enterprise + 1 Translator at the price of 1 Enterprise. We introduced this new bundle at last weeks Tech-Ed EMEA. Markus

Thank you very much for answering so quickly. One small problem I came across when trying to import a Multilizer project into Sisulizer: our program contains quite a few memo's with static text. These do not seem to be imported along with the rest. Is there a trick to get those memo.lines as well or do I just have to copy the translations manually? Thanks again, Gerard.
